WRITE WAI PR & COPYWRITING SERVICES is One Year Old!
It is with great excitement that WRITE WAI PR & COPYWRITING SERVICES is celebrating its first anniversary today, October 3rd, because according to one source, Statistic Brain, one in four of new businesses fail in their first year.
It’s been an exciting and eventful year that kicked off in December with the launch of my website, writewai.com, which is usually ranking on the front page of Google in searches for Essex copywriter, Colchester copywriter and Christian copywriter. I must be doing something the right way!
As WRITE WAI’s owner, I would like to thank you because you have played a big part in helping WRITE WAI succeed by being one of my customers. Thank you also to my business coaches (Trevor Edwards, Mandie Holgate and Daniel Steptoe Thompson) friends or network connections.
I hope that my clients were completely satisfied with WRITE WAI PR & COPYWRITING SERVICES, whether I wrote a blog for you or a press release, a brochure, newsletter, words for your website or whether I proofread or edited your copy. Maybe you attended one of my workshops. I write all of the copy myself. WRITE WAI endeavors to offer the highest standards of PR and copywriting services to clients and I am keen to hear any constructive feedback.
In fact, to mark WRITE WAI’s first anniversary, I am hosting a workshop on ‘Crafting Creative Content’ today October 3rd in the Board Room at Colbea North, 340 Severalls Business Park, Colchester. Come along and join us.
This will be WRITE WAI’s third workshop and I am pleased to inform you that 90 per cent of the businesses who attended one of our workshops recently gave WRITE WAI PR & COPYWRITING SERVICES 8 out of 10 or higher for the overall experience and 81 per cent gave 7 out of 10 or higher for the content. Most of the people who attended my last workshop said it was ‘thought-provoking’, ‘inspirational’, ‘valuable’ and ‘informative.’
Between October 2013 and October 2014, WRITE WAI helped several businesses to win publicity in both local and national media through our skillfully written press releases. As a former journalist, I know how to angle a press release that attracts the attention of News Editors, which helps to get them published. I have also written the words for several websites, blogs, brochures and newsletters, to name but a few of WRITE WAI’s services.
During my inaugural year in business, WRITE WAI featured in the Gazette Colchester and Woman Alive Magazine and ran an after school club called ‘Junior Journalists’ Club’ at Elmstead Primary School, Elmstead Market. The students, under my guidance, produced their own school newspaper called Class Chat, which was very well received by parents, pupils and teachers. Club members said it helped them to achieve their targets in English.
In addition, WRITE WAI has supported various charities. I wrote a free press release for Dancing Giraffe, gave raffle prizes to Rugby Pups for a charity event, sponsored a horse and donated a raffle prize at two St Helena’s Hospice fund raising events, collected on the street for Christian Aid and painted faces at a Family Fun Day in Castle Park, Colchester. In total we have helped to raise about £5,000 for St Helena’s Hospice and Christian Aid.
WRITE WAI ran a photographic competition on Facebook in the spring, which attracted 30 adult entries from across the world and 20 entries from children. We are currently running a news writing competition for 11 to 16-year-olds along with Tutor Doctor North Colchester. There are several brilliant prizes and the top three entries will be published in the Gazette. The deadline is October 27th, 2014, so there is still time to enter.
I just want to say thank you again to everyone. We couldn’t have reached our first anniversary without you.
